Mills On Wheels is an independent driving school run by David Mills. David is a friendly, easy going driving instructor from the Northumberland area. He has been a driving instructor for just over a year and is fully qualified and DSA approved. He also has a background in the motor industry.

We provide a high standard of driver training, designed to give you safe driving skills for life with lessons tailored to each individual pupil. We offer lessons to anyone, from complete beginners to someone needing refresher lessons.

2 Hour Lessons @ £17 per Hour

As well as the standard lessons, we also offer hazard perception & theory test help and advice, Pass Plus, and Refresher lessons.

Did you know the practical test lasts about 38 to 40 minutes, will take in as many different types of roads as possible, will start with an eyesight test (reading a number plate at 20.5m) then two safety questions (show me, tell me). During the test you will be expected to carry out one manoeuvre with one in three tests requiring an emergency stop. There will be ten minutes of independant driving (The examiner will ask you to follow roads to a specific destination or show you a diagram to follow.) During the test you are allowed to make up to 15 minor errors as long as you do not consistently make the same error. A serious or dangerous error will result in failure.

On our first meeting I will provide you with all show me, tell me questions and answers including a photgraph of the car engine. Information about Winter driving. Although I want you to eventually pass your test. What I really want is someone who is a safe, smooth driver who will impress any other passengers in the car.
